Storm Season is Coming!

May 3, 2017

Researchers at CSU’s Tropical Meteorology Project (http://tropical.colostate.edu/) are expecting a total of 11 named storms, four hurricanes, and two major hurricanes this storm season. A major hurricane is one that is Category 3 or higher on the SS Hurricane Wind Scale (http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/aboutsshws.php).

Hurricane season officially runs from June 1st through November 30th, though it is not unusual for major storms to occur outside of this time frame. Last season we saw Hurricane Alex in January and Tropical Storm Bonnie in late May.

Unfortunately, while the number of storms is somewhat predictable, their paths are nearly impossible to forecast until they get started. That’s why it’s so important for us on the East Coast to be prepared, no matter what.

We’ve created a customizable emergency checklist that you can share with your customers to encourage emergency preparedness while simultaneously promoting your business.

Emergency Checklist

We have provided this checklist as a Microsoft Word document so that you may add your logo and phone number to the top of the page before sharing it with your customers.

This will serve as a friendly reminder to your customers that you will be there for them when they are ready to secure an automatic backup power solution.

If you prefer, we can create a custom checklist for you. Just email tom@betterpower.biz with a logo file and/or company name, and phone number. Tom will respond with a customized PDF that you share with your customers.
