What We’re Really About

Certified Federally and in New York State as a Woman-Owned Small Business, Better Power, Inc. supplies backup power equipment and more to its customers, with a focus on making the process as seamless as possible.

As a wholesaler, we do not sell residential backup generators to homeowners directly. Instead, we sell equipment to contractors and other qualified service professionals who can install the equipment for their customers.

We also sell equipment directly to government agencies, municipalities, and non-profit organizations by way of our New York State contract.

We’re there for our customers throughout the process, from ordering to receiving, and helping to resolve any issues that may arise after delivery and installation.

Our History: A Power Surge

Customers who need generators, transfer switches, or other important power accessories really appreciate having a local company with the expertise and connections to help them get the job done right. Founded in 1992, Better Power started as a home-based supplier of electrical equipment in Brighton, NY. Then an industry giant in energy technology, Generac, targeted the company to start selling generators. Since then, Better Power has grown significantly and now warehouses inventory in Rochester, NY, and supplies a full line of Generac products to resellers and State Contract purchasers across New York State and beyond.
